Stone in Bloom Judging Route
Keep Stone Tidy have offered to help clean up the Stone
in Bloom judging route prior to judging taking place on Tuesday, July 13th.
If you would like to volunteer to help out on the day or on one of the days
leading up to the event (10th, 11th or 12th) then please contact us.
The meeting times are as follows:
Monday, July 12th - 6.30pm at the Anglers Car Park by
the Amphitheatre.
Tuesday, July 13th - 10.30am in the Market Square
The route will be broken down into small areas, so you will not be expected
to litter pick the whole route!
The Route:
(N.B - Areas to be inspected in bold)
- Start
– Little Stoke Cricket Club

- Uttoxeter
Road to Lichfield Road
|
- Right
turn past into Lichfield Road.
|
- Turn
left to inspect Brookfield
Court
|
- Lichfield
Road then left turn into Weavers Lane.
|
- Visit
St. Michaels First School
|
- Lichfield
Road into town and left turn into Abbey Street.
|
- Disembark
to inspect March Hare House,
the Moorings, Canal, Stafford Street, High Street, Radford Street and
Christchurch
|
- From
Christchurch Car Park proceed down Christchurch Way, into Mill Street
and inspect Millstone Heights.
Then inspect Morrisons’
Recycling area. Then return to Christchurch Way, Stafford Street
and right turn in Trent Close

- Inspect
Trent Close, towpath opposite boatyard, Christina and Amphitheatre.

- Walk
Crown Meadow then over
footbridge and road into river
side walk in Westbridge Park. Return to vehicle on Canoe
Club car park.

- Turn
left to Walton Roundabout and
turn right to Whitebridge
Industrial Estate taking Canal Road to complete a circuit of the
estate.

- Alight
at Crossing Keepers Cottage and
walk over railway crossing and up Whitemill Lane to enter Common Plott through kissing gate.

- Drive
in 4x4 over Plott to new
barn.
|
- Inspect
new barn. Then exit onto Old
Road and inspect allotment(s).

- Walk
through Stonefield Park and
back into vehicle at top gate.

- Old
Road then Radford Street, Christchurch Way, Lichfield Road to Aston
Marina
