The following 'Litter Picks' are planned for the next few months.

Your Safety
Every possible precaution is taken to protect the 'Litter Pick' Volunteers.
A Risk Assessment of the planned 'Litter Pick' area is carried out by at least one member of the Campaign Committee prior to the event taking place.
The Risk Assessment will check for the following:
- Roads with heavy traffic
- Waterways with deep or fast flowing water

Slips, trips and falls, especially around water, steep banks, muddy holes

Unlabelled and unmarked cans and canisters, oil drums

Poisons, insecticides, broken glass, syringes, condoms etc.

Suitability for adolescents' to attend
The findings will published on the Locations page prior to the event and will be highlighted in the pre event briefing. The 'Litter Pick' will not take place if the risk to volunteers is deemed to high!
Please notify an event organiser if any dangerous objects, such as broken glass, syringes, condoms are found as they will have a suitable container to store the objects.
The organisers can be identified by their orange Hi-Visibility Vests and they should make themselves known to you at the pre event briefing. Under no circumstances should you put yourself at risk?
A selection of appropriate equipment such as litter picking tools & gloves will be provided, but please bring your own if you have some. This will ensure that there is enough to go round!
As Keep Stone Tidy are a purely voluntary group, we are not able to provide Public Liability Insurance cover at this time, but do require sponsorship for this purpose.
